Preparing the land for the Mutiso School Project

Cam Elisabeth

Director

Hi! My name is Camille and in 2017 I started the project "Mutisol" in Metuchira, Mozambique. It was through this project that I worked hand in hand with the fertile land, the willing people and the market needs of our community. The need was obvious - basic staples processed into more versatile, nutritional products that could reach more people, be stored longer, and ultimately bridge the food security gap. However it was due to the extraordinary and devastating cyclone in 500 years reaching us in 2019, that changed our efforts from school project to farm processing hub. The change wasn't only due to the cyclone destruction but the reality that Mozambique needs more resilient food sources. "Grow Moz Food" began vertically integrating highly nutritional raw foods into various manufactured products changing Mozambique from primarily agrarian society to a self producing food empire.
